The purpose of ABWA is to assist like-minded women in connecting with other women in the community and to help educate women in business. Our membership includes women from many businesses – corporate, small business, and the self-employed – and reflects the diverse population of women in today’s workforce.

Membership is required in both the National organization and Denver Downtown’s local chapter. The combination of national and local dues remains the best value found for a women’s organization.

National Membership:

National dues are $90 per year. This membership fee provides many benefits including professional development opportunities, networking on a national level, corporate sponsor discounts, and the award-winning Women In Business magazine. Visit our National website to learn more about ABWA.

National Benefits:

The Women's Instructional Network, offering online professional development for ABWA members, team posting, and member events
Continuing Education credits (CEUs) are offered at Spring and National Conferences, articles in Women In Business magazine, and ABWA Certificate Programs. National Headquarters tracks your CEUs and will provide a written report upon request for use in career planning
Member discounts to attend educational seminars scheduled at Spring and National Conferences
Kansas University KU Management Series at Spring Conferences
Kansas University KU MBA Essentials at National Conferences
Women in Business magazine published six times per year offers many educational and informative articles. One article is selected with each publication for continuing education credits
Members have access to a wide range of books, pre-packaged educational programs, and other learning tools

Denver Downtown Chapter Membership:

Denver Downtown dues are $18 per year and will be up for renewal one year from the beginning of the month in which original membership was made. Dues payment may be made by cash, check or online below:

Local Benefits:

Monthly meetings include an informative, educational program
Monthly newsletters include articles on career building, leadership, and other developmental topics
Each member has available $25 to be used for a continuing education opportunity of his or her choice
Denver Downtown provides monetary support to attend Spring or National Conferences
Through yearly donations to the Stephen Bufton Memorial Education Fund (SBMEF), Denver Downtown members have Business Skills Development dollars available to them for use in updating their skills (page 2 of form)

Denver Downtown embraces the mission of ABWA by awarding education grants each year to deserving women throughout the country. In 2009, the chapter will be awarding a $1500 grant to a student who is or will be a junior at an accredited institution. If you know someone interested in an applying for the grant (page 3 item #3), please contact a member of our executive team.
